COL (ret) Yvette C. Hopkins is a Consulting Manager with Partners in Performance focused on the Cyber Operational Environment and Threat, human factors in the cyber domain, and organizational leadership. She recently retired from a 30-year career as a Military Intelligence officer culminating as the Director of Intelligence for Special Operations Command, Africa, and prior as Commander of the Department of Defense’s largest counterintelligence unit.  A proven leader, CEO, and manager, Yvette has advanced counterintelligence concepts across the Department of Defense, particularly, insider threat, technology protection, and operations in the cyber domain – setting the industry standard.  A leading innovator in strategic intelligence operations, she has spent her career directing complex intelligence operations, illuminating adversary networks, and synchronizing intelligence ecosystems.  As a global communicator and focused collaborator, with experience working with 50+ nations, Yvette navigates easily across cultural boundaries.  With numerous public speaking engagements on violent extremist threats, on organizational innovation, and on professional excellence, she is a recognized thought partner in the field of Intelligence. She also leads cultural change through example as the first woman in multiple key military positions. Yvette earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Central State University, Ohio, her Master of Military Arts and Science degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College School of Advanced Military Studies, and an additional Masters degree in National Security Studies from the National War College.  She has also has earned certificates in Italian, and in Cyber Advanced Support Operations (CASO).
