Dr. Dawn Dunkerley is a Consulting Manager with Partners in Performance focused on the operationalization of cyberspace to achieve critical business objectives and balance cyber risks while optimizing investments. Prior to this, Dawn spent more than 10 years within the United States Department of Defense civilian sector, culminating as the Chief of Cyber, United States Army Materiel Command. She was responsible for AMC’s resiliency within cyberspace to achieve the AMC commander’s objectives, facilitate mission command, and maintain AMC’s ability to “develop, deliver and sustain” in support of current and future Army and Joint missions. Dr. Dunkerley received a Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in 2011 with a doctoral focus of information security success within organizations. Her research interests include cyberwarfare, cyber operations, cybersecurity, and the success and measurement of organizational cyber-focused initiatives. She holds a number of professional certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP), Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), and the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). She has also published extensively in the field, both in academic and trade publications, and is a noted speaker on cyber topics. She serves as a Subject Matter Expert and Exam Developer for the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) for a number of industry-leading certification exams. Dr. Dunkerley was a nominee for the 2016 United States Department of the Army Civilian of the Year Award.
